What it does

The manifest does the remembering

At every stop, the driver sees exactly who should be getting on — with photos — and logs them with a tap. The numbers update everywhere, instantly.

Per-stop manifests with photo identification — the driver confirms faces, not just names, before the bus moves.
Tap-to-board and tap-to-alight — one tap per student logs the event with a timestamp against the run.
Parent absences arrive first — a parent marking their child absent in the parent app puts that absence on the driver’s manifest before boarding begins. No radio calls, no guessing at an empty stop.
The accountability strip never leaves the screen — expected, boarded, exited and on-bus counts stay visible through navigation, stops and arrival.
Sport and excursion runs count both ways — a full boarding cycle outbound and a second one for the return leg.

In practice

Parent-submitted absences are already on the manifest, and the expected count adjusts.

Anyone unaccounted for is flagged — the run cannot be closed until every student is resolved.
